This music-video is filmed mostly in black and white and features Patti Smith singing, writing and walking mixed with pictures of some of her heroes (Burroughs, Genet...), their work and everyday life probably in Detroit. Only the stills of Diego Riviera’s mural "Detroit Industry or Man and Machine" from the Detroit Institute of Arts are coloured.
